The Outer Banks at Nags Head, NC on Saturday was sunny, 60 degrees and clean with waist to chest high waves on offer for the Mid Atlantic event #3. It doesn’t get any better than that! Several surfers were standouts this weekend. Micha Cantor won the Open Mens & Explorer Menehuene divisions. Clearly he continues to surf progressively at a young age. Laird Myers stepped up his game with a win in Open Boys and Explorer Mens. Gab Morvil is continuing to make his high competitive presence known with double wins in Explorer Juniors and Explorer Boys. Nash Connor won the Open Juniors and is emerging as one of our top championship contenders. Owen Moss continues to be dominant in the Open Mini Grom and Explorer Super Groms.
The Mid Atlantic girls are really beginning to shine! Carly Carter took first in Explorer Girls and Explorer Womens Longboard. Madison Huckabee was the performer of the weekend with the highest scoring wave en route to winning the Open and Explorer Womens divisions. Madison has been chosen as the Mid Atlantic “Surfer of the Week”. Congratulations to Madison Huckabee!
