UNF HAS BEEN DOMINATING!

College Contest #6 was held at New Smyrna Beach Inlet on January 19, 2014 with
cool temperatures, but contestable waves. The University of North Florida (A) team has been on a
competitive roll capturing their third consecutive win of the season. However
the University of Central Florida (A) was right on their tail taking a close second. The team
victory came down to the College Men’s final and UNF came out with guns
blazing. UNF team member Mel Young was on fire all day taking first in the
College Men’s final clinching the win for UNF. Longtime NSSA youth standout Emily
Ruppert is attending UNF this year and has given the team added firepower. She
helped seal the deal winning the College Women’ final. It was a UNF sweep in
the individual categories as longboarder Tyler Dean took his first win for the
season in College Longboard final. It was another fabulous day of college
competition and we look forward to seeing everyone back at NSB Inlet on February 16, 2014.
